I spent 25 years building one of America’s most iconic retail businesses rising from the sales floor to leading the largest division in the company, all while raising three kids in a role-reversed marriage, and trying to hold it all together.

 

Then everything changed. And what I discovered on the other side became the most important work of my life.

 

At the height of my career, I was an Executive Vice President, managing a $2 billion business and I was fired. A board-level decision. I didn’t see it coming, and I had no choice but to accept it with grace.

 

What came after the grace was the harder, more honest work. For years I had outrun the question I didn’t want to answer: was I living the life I actually wanted? When I finally stopped long enough to face it, the answer was clear.

 

The model was broken. Not me.

 

Today I work across two areas:

 1. I speak to audiences across the country on women's leadership and sustainable success - and partner with organizations through keynotes, workshops, and retainers to develop and retain their best women.

 

2. I also advise retail and consumer brands on brand positioning, category and channel expansion, organizational design, and long-term growth strategy - and serve in advisory and board roles for companies navigating change, scale, or reinvention.
