AI Is Just Another Tool for Building a Life You Love

Most of the women I work with aren't short on ambition. They're short on hours.

So when a friend recommended The AI-Driven Leader by Geoff Woods, I read it with one question in mind: could this give women some of their time back?

Three long walks and a lot of notes later, my answer is yes.

AI isn't magic, and it isn't the enemy. It's just another tool for building a life you love.

It doesn't decide what matters.

You do.

Know what you want first

Step one of my Self Architect Method™ is Define: decide what success looks like on your own terms. If you don't know what you're building, AI will just help you get busier, faster.

Let it think with you

Use AI as a thinking partner, not a search engine.

Geoff's C.R.I.T. framework — Context, Role, Interview, Task — taught me to give it real context, then have it interview me, challenge my plan, and help me say what I mean.

Give yourself back the hours

First drafts. Meeting prep. Summaries. The week's plan. What's for dinner.

Hand AI the first pass, and keep the judgment for yourself.

Use it yourself

This was the big one for me, from Chapter 17.

Too many leaders admire AI, then delegate it three levels down.

The ones who win use it personally. If you're stretched thin, this tool was built for your problem. Don't hand it off.

The bottom line

AI won't build your life for you.

But it can hand you back the hours to build it on purpose — and to spend them on the people and moments only you can show up for.
